LED And SBA To Honor 2011 Small Business Award Winners

Event honors small business leaders who make significant impacts in their communities

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Today, Louisiana Economic Development and the U.S. Small Business Administration named the 2011 Louisiana Small Business Award winners at an event honoring small business leaders who make a significant impact and who exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit of Louisiana. Winners will be honored during a private reception at the Governor's Mansion.

"We cannot emphasize enough what a vital role small businesses play in creating jobs and prosperity in the Louisiana economy, and these small business leaders are at the vanguard of making Louisiana a stronger, more competitive state," said LED Secretary Stephen Moret. "Not only do these Small Business Award winners manage successful businesses, they're responsible for helping our economy outperform the South and the U.S. throughout the recent recession and into the current recovery. We salute them for being visionaries and for being role models for us all."

Sayes also maintains a vital role in the community through charity service and a variety of sponsorships.
