Indorama Ventures Olefins To Conduct Job Fair For Manufacturing Facility In Sulphur, Louisiana

LAKE CHARLES, La. — Indorama Ventures Olefins LLC, supported by LED FastStart® and the Louisiana Workforce Commission, will conduct a job fair for interested applicants from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 in Sulphur. The event will take place at the West-Cal Arena & Events Center, located at 401 Arena Road in Sulphur. Originally slated for Aug. 18, the earlier event was postponed due to severe weather.

The job fair will target filling a variety of positions, including the following specialty areas: process operators, laboratory technicians, electrical and instrument technicians, mechanical maintenance personnel and other positions.

Candidates must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or a GED certification, or equivalent. Some candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts and holidays; all candidates should be able to work well with team members and be willing to complete a drug screening.

Full-time employees are eligible to participate in health care, dental care, vision care, short-term and long-term insurance, 401(k) savings and paid-time-off benefits.

Indorama Ventures Olefins LLC, which is a subsidiary of Indorama Ventures, owns and operates a 250-acre ethylene cracker facility near Lake Charles, Louisiana, where the company announced a $175 million capital investment in late 2015 and the creation of 125 new direct jobs.
