DXC Technology Signs New Orleans Lease As Hiring Process Begins

NEW ORLEANS — Today, DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) and Louisiana Economic Development announced the company has signed a lease for its permanent operations in New Orleans, where DXC Technology eventually will employ 2,000 professionals in the largest technology project announced by LED and the State of Louisiana to date.

DXC Technology has reached a lease agreement for multiple floors of the Freeport McMoRan Building located on Poydras Street across from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in the New Orleans Central Business District. Initially, DXC will occupy two floors and will begin operating in the building in January. Ultimately, the company has options to lease up to 10 floors representing a total of 220,000 square feet of commercial space. DXC’s lease is with Poydras (Louisiana) LLC. Freeport McMoRan Inc. will continue to maintain a major presence in the building and in New Orleans.

LED and DXC also announced that job seekers may apply for employment with DXC Technology in New Orleans at LouisianaJobConnection.com/DXCtechnologyNOLA.

“We’re delighted that DXC Technology has found a home for its Digital Transformation Center in New Orleans and the hiring process is underway,” Gov. John Bel Edwards said. “The DXC project is one of the most significant in the history of our state. We welcome their arrival and will continue our work to provide the best training and talent pipeline possible through all of our Louisiana higher education systems.”

On Nov. 13, Gov. Edwards, Mayor Mitch Landrieu and DXC Technology announced the company will establish a 2,000-job Digital Transformation Center in New Orleans. The arrival of DXC Technology, formed in April 2017 by the merger of CSC and the Enterprise Services Division of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, cements Louisiana’s position as one of the fastest-growing software and IT destinations in the U.S., following major projects by EA, CenturyLink, IBM, CSRA, CGI, GE Digital and others in the past decade.

In the near future, LED FastStart® – the nation’s No. 1 state workforce development program – will collaborate with DXC Technology on job information and recruitment events in New Orleans and on college campuses across the state.
