The Mission 

K&B Industries began operations in the Bayou Region in 1974 and has grown into a leading supplier of premium threading, manufacturing and engineering services for the aerospace and oil and gas industries.

The Challenge

K&B Machine already owned a customer inventory building and a $40 million manufacturing complex in Terrebonne Parish when the company decided to increase production  to keep pace with the state’s growing aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing equipment markets.

The Opportunity

Louisiana offered a competitive incentives package that included:

Performance-based retention and modernization tax credit of $400,000 subject to the achievement of payroll and investment targets.

Qualified 80-percent property tax abatement for up to 10 years through the state’s Industrial Tax Exemption Program, contingent on meeting job creation and payroll commitments.

Up to a 6 percent rebate on annual payroll expenses for up to 10 years, and a 1.5 percent project facility expense rebate for qualifying expenses, through the state’s Quality Jobs program.
